When buying a wooden beer dispenser from China, a product photo is a useful starting point, but buyers also need to confirm capacity, materials, colours and logo requirements.
In our sourcing projects, customers often send a photograph of the beer dispenser they want us to find. When they do not have a reference image, we ask about the required capacity and recommend suitable options.
This guide covers the wooden beer dispensers we have sourced with stainless steel liners, including the details we confirm before ordering and the checks we carry out before shipment.

Start with a Reference Photo or Required Capacity
If you already have a particular design in mind, send us a reference photograph. We can use it to look for corresponding or similar products and clarify the specifications with suppliers.
If you do not have a photograph, tell us the capacity you need. We can then suggest available designs for you to review.
Before ordering, confirm the selected model and capacity in the quotation so that both you and the supplier are working from the same requirements.
Confirm the Wooden Exterior and Stainless Steel Liner
The products we have sourced generally use pine or oak for the wooden exterior, with a stainless steel liner inside to hold the beer.
It is important to distinguish this construction from a traditional wooden barrel in which the liquid is in direct contact with the wood.
When reviewing a quotation, confirm the wood type and the liner material separately. If you require a particular stainless steel grade, specify it and ask the supplier to confirm it in writing rather than assuming it from the product’s appearance.
Understand How the Beer Is Cooled
These dispensers are intended to be filled with beer that has already been chilled. The models described here do not have an ice tube, an ice bucket or an active cooling system.
The wooden exterior offers some insulation, but this should not be treated as a guarantee that the beer will remain at a particular temperature for a stated number of hours. We do not specify a cooling duration without supporting test data.
If temperature retention is important for your intended use, discuss that requirement before choosing a model.

Agree on Colours and Logo Customisation
Colour and logo customisation are common requests in our sourcing work.
Customers can tell us their preferred finish and provide their logo artwork. We then coordinate with the supplier to confirm the available options and the proposed result.
Before production, agree on:
- The exterior colour or finish.
- The logo design.
- The logo size and position.
- The supplier’s proposed method of applying the logo.
Use an agreed reference to communicate the expected appearance and support the checks before shipment.
Check the Tap, Liner and Appearance Before Shipment
Our pre-shipment checks for these products include examining the tap and the stainless steel liner, as well as checking the logo and colour against the agreed requirements.
The tap should be checked for visible damage and its condition reviewed alongside the rest of the dispenser. The liner also needs attention; the wooden exterior alone does not show the condition of the parts that hold the beer.
For customised orders, checking the logo and colour is part of confirming that the supplied product matches what the customer ordered.
Use a Water Fill Test to Check for Leakage
In our inspection work, we fill the dispenser with water to check for leakage, including around the tap and its connections.
This provides a practical check of whether the assembled dispenser holds liquid without visible seepage during the test.
A water leak check has a specific purpose. It does not establish suitability for pressurised beer service or replace any required material or food-contact documentation. Any additional testing requirements should be agreed separately.

What to Send When Requesting a Quotation
To help us find suitable options, send the information you already have:
- A reference photograph, if available.
- Your required capacity.
- Your preferred wood type, if you have one.
- The colour or finish you want.
- Your logo artwork and customisation requirements.
- The estimated order quantity and delivery destination.
You do not need to know every detail before contacting us. We can start with your photograph or capacity requirement and help clarify the remaining specifications.
