PW884 is an armless transparent polycarbonate chair with a rounded oval backrest, a geometric seat and a one-piece injection-moulded structure. Its narrow profile and stackable design make it a practical option for dining spaces, hotels, weddings and other events where many chairs need to be arranged without making the space feel visually crowded.
The smoky grey PW884 shown here was included in a real multi-model leisure-chair sourcing project for a European buyer. It was purchased as one of the project’s one-piece chair models and later consolidated with chairs from another supplier into one 40HQ shipment.

A Slim Armless Design
Unlike an armchair, PW884 does not have side armrests. Its 39 cm overall width allows chairs to be placed more closely in dining and event layouts. The rounded backrest softens the appearance, while the straight seat and leg lines keep the chair visually simple.
The transparent smoky-grey finish also allows surrounding colours and light to remain visible through the chair. This can help reduce the heavy visual effect that a row of conventional solid chairs may create.
One-Piece Injection-Moulded Construction
The backrest, seat and legs form one injection-moulded polycarbonate structure. The chair is supplied fully assembled, so there are no separate legs, fasteners or assembly instructions to manage at the destination.
For buyers, one-piece construction simplifies installation but increases the importance of moulding quality. The transition areas between the rounded backrest, seat and legs should be checked carefully for visible marks, deformation or stress-related defects.
What Buyers Should Check Before Ordering
Transparent moulded chairs can make small cosmetic issues more visible than opaque furniture. Before ordering, buyers should confirm:
the approved smoky-grey colour and acceptable colour tolerance;
overall dimensions, seat height and required weight capacity;
acceptable limits for scratches, haze, dark specks and moulding lines;
whether all four legs contact the floor evenly;
backrest, seat and leg shape consistency;
stacking performance and the risk of rubbing between chairs;
protective wrapping and carton strength; and
any test-report or compliance requirements for the destination market.
The physical sample should be kept as the reference for colour, appearance and workmanship during pre-shipment inspection.
Stackable Packing with Protective Separation
PW884 is packed four chairs per carton. The chairs are nested together and separated with protective material to reduce rubbing and scratching during handling and transport.
Because the chair is supplied as a complete one-piece structure, it cannot be packed as compactly as a knock-down model. Proper nesting and surface protection are therefore essential to balance packing efficiency with cosmetic protection.
Why a Shaped Carton Was Used
A conventional rectangular carton would leave unused space around the narrow backrest and the wider seat-and-leg section. For this project, a shaped carton was designed to follow the profile of four stacked chairs more closely.
The carton marking records six sectional measurements—67 × 40.5 × 67 × 40.5 × 27 × 37 cm—rather than a conventional three-dimensional length × width × height measurement. This reflects the irregular carton shape. Its shipping volume should therefore be checked against the supplier’s final packing drawing or loading calculation instead of being estimated as an ordinary rectangular carton.
PW884 and PW855: Two Structures for Different Layouts
PW884 and PW855 use the same general type of transparent polycarbonate construction, but their shapes serve different layout preferences.
PW884 is an armless side chair with a narrower W39 cm profile. PW855 includes integrated armrests and has a wider W54 cm body. Buyers can compare the two structures according to the available space, seating arrangement and preferred appearance.

Part of a Multi-Supplier Leisure-Chair Project
PW884 was one of the one-piece chair models included in a sourcing project for a European buyer. We compared quotations from six factories, reviewed samples and ultimately divided 980 chairs across two selected suppliers. The completed goods were delivered to our Ningbo warehouse and consolidated into one 40HQ container.
